Say Goodbye to Marie Lentine's Whole Foods Show

March 1 marked the end of Marie Lentine's solo show of her art at Whole Foods Market in Wellington. We enjoyed having her acrylic and watercolor paintings there for the last three months. We celebrated Marie at a reception where Whole Foods provided a musician, wine and refreshments. Here Marie is enjoying talking with one of her guests.

In an earlier post, I gave you a sneak preview of some of her artwork. Here are the rest of her paintings as well as photos of her reception.

"Healing Flowers," acrylic, 25" x 25", $425.

These paintings are nice examples of her watercolors. Clockwise from left: "Getting to the Roots -- From the Inside Out," 23" x 30", $425; "Lilac and Lace," 23" x 31", $425; and "All My Ducks in a Row," which is not for sale.

Marie brought a few extra paintings to show during her reception. Here are a few with some of the nice jewelry that she also creates.

She also brought this cute painting that she will be donating to Palms West Hospital. She generously created it so that it can be part of the permanent display in the Children's Hospital. Members of the Wellington Art Society are currently working on many acrylic paintings that will be donated to the hospital. Ultimately, we will donate about 60 pieces.

Below is Lauren Belinsky, head of Marketing for Whole Foods. Lauren is the one who approached us about partnering to provide artwork for their cafe. Lauren makes sure we have yummy food and nice wine during the reception.

Here are WAS members Ursula Fernandez, Adrianne Hetherington and Suzanne Redmond enjoying Marie's party.

And here's Steve and Sandy Axelrod, and Tony Rovolis.

Here are a few more of Marie's paintings. This is "Bold and Beautiful," acrylic, 41 1/4" x 28 1/4", $1,200.

"Gathering Hope Along the River of Life," acrylic, 40 1/2" x 30 1/2", $600.

"Wild Flowers," acrylic, 41 1/4" x 28 1/4", $1,200.

Here's another shot of Maria at the reception.

Leslie Pfeiffer, Linda Rovolis, and Sandra Barbieri having fun socializing for the evening.

Joanne Knoetgen, sitting with Joanne Baker MacLeod, is showing off the print that Marie donated and she won.

We all enjoyed the music provided by Julius Sanna. You can visit his website here.

Marie's painting are now gone, and our new show has been hung. Stop by Whole Foods Market cafe and you'll see Ursula Fernandez's wonderful oil paintings through May 31.
