Wellington City Hall Art -- Part I

The Wellington Art Society member show at the Wellington City Hall continues through the end of April. In May, we will switch out this art and present an entirely new show. If you haven't gotten up to the City Hall to see it yet, I'll give you a personal tour here. Stop by this blog tomorrow and the next day to see the rest of the paintings.

WAS member Suzanne Redmond has been painting in acrylics.

She calls this one "Garden Turmoil," and it is 24" x 30".

Bobbin Salisbury attended our March reception with her father.

Bobbin paints in watercolors. This painting is titled "Windy Palm" and it is 24" x 20".

Here Bobbin is admiring one of her other watercolors.

"Western Union at Sunset," 29" x 35".

This one is called "Ice Pond," and is 22" x 31".

Flanner Winchester is currently enrolled in art school, but her father Jon was glad to come out and see her artwork. All three of these paintings are done in acrylic.

Here you can see Suzanne's painting displayed near BettyJane Heiser Zedonek's.

BettyJane created this piece with acrylic and pens. It is called "Five Swans a Swimming" and is 20" x 16".

This one of BettyJane's is called "Window -- Whole Foods," and is acrylic and colored pencil, 24" x 18". She must have been inspired when seeing the orchids in the window of our Wellington Whole Foods Market.

Stop by tomorrow and the next day (here and here) when I show you the rest of the artwork that beautifies the City hall.

This artwork is located in the main areas on the first and second floors of the Wellington City Hall. If you are interested in purchasing any of these, please email Suzanne Redmond at sredmond75@comcast.net.
