Wellington Art Society Welcomes Members and Public To September Meeting, With Featured Artist, Vickie Siegel

Mixed Media artist Vicki Siegel will be giving a demonstration at the first meeting of the season for the members of the Wellington Art Society and guests. The meeting will be held in the Lakeview East Room of the new Wellington Community Center at 6:30pm. The Community Center is located just south of the Wellington City Hall at 12150 Forest Hill Boulevard.

A social hour will be followed by a member spotlight showing their recent works and a brief meeting The featured demonstrator for the evening will be Vickie Siegel, contemporary artist, whose mixes media paintings and photography and sculpture explore the connection between memory and reality.

Vickie’s art combines painting and photography, blending the two art forms in a process that results in images both real and imaginary. These works are transformed by using acrylic paint and image transfers from her photographs. The details are found in layers often revealing something forgotten or missing from actual experiences.  Her works are in many private and corporate collections. She shows in many South Florida exhibits and galleries and is a member of many art organizations.

The Wellington Art Society is a terrific artist networking organization for artists and art lovers.
